About Us:

A joint initiative of Idaho Voices for Children (www.idahovoices.org) and The Cabin (www.thecabinidaho.org), Book it Forward! Idaho collects, cleans, and sorts gently-used books for babies to 18-year-olds. These books are distributed to children with limited access to books at home.*

Book it Forward! Idaho is an all volunteer-driven effort. Books are collected through convenient drop-off sites, periodic collection drives, and pick-ups.  Volunteers run collection drives, clean and repair books, and help make connections in the community for collections and donations.  To date, Book it Forward! Idaho has donated more than 750,000 books in Idaho and beyond.

*Book it Forward! Idaho notes that, "Reading proficiently by the end of third grade is the single most important factor for success in school and in life. Having too few books for kids in low-income homes is a barrier to developing their reading proficiency."
